This is the site of the restored Fountain Hills Botanical Garden, a town-owned plot of nine acres off Fountain Hills Boulevard. To the motorists zipping past, it looks like just another wash.

Multi-colored fountain, located prominently near the entrance to the Botanic Garden, has physically deteriorated to the point where it is now being considered for decommissioning and removal.

The fountain operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., running for 15 minutes at the top of each hour. Depending on wind speeds, it can run with one pump at 170 feet high, two pumps at 330 feet high ...
