A brush fire broke out in Santa Barbara County, California, along northbound Highway 101 near Mariposa Reina on Tuesday, June 17. The flames prompted the closure of southbound lanes of the highway.

A brush fire sparked off Somerville Road and rapidly grew to more than 200 acres, leading fire authorities to issue evacuation warnings for residents near the site of the blaze.
