Flows on the Big Hole River are well below normal due to hot temperatures, rapid snowmelt and meager precipitation. The low flows could lead to fishing restrictions earlier than usual.

Work to reopen sections of the New River Trail State Park is progressing, according to state Department of Conservation and Recreation.
