The man facing two felony charges admitted to setting a Danville city councilmember on fire with the intent to kill him.

The alleged incident happened at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the 700 block of Main Street. City council member Lee Vogler, 38, of Danville, was at his place of employment when the suspect entered the building and “doused him with a flammable liquid,” according to witness information obtained by the Danville Police Department.
