When McLaughlin was revealed as the new Harry Potter back in May, he wasn't alone. Also announced were the other two members of the series' famous trio: Arabella Stanton was cast as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout takes on the role of Ron Weasley.

Production has commenced on the series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, U.K., the studio announced on Monday. Leavesden houses the sets from the original film adaptations and is popular tourist destination. The production announcement was accompanied by the first image of Dominic McLaughlin as the new Harry Potter.
