Dollar Tree Inc. announced on March 13 that it was closing approximately 1,000 stores. The company said it plans to close approximately 600 Family Dollar stores in the first half of fiscal 2024.

Dollar Tree will reopen these stores with its own products under its brand beginning in the fall. 99 Cents Only had filed for bankruptcy in April and closed all of its 370 locations.
