1st look at Will Smith as Blue Genie in 'Aladdin' "Aladdin," directed by Guy Ritchie, also stars Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, and hits theaters on May 24.

The film, based on Disney's 1992 animated classic, stars Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar and Navid Negahban as the Sultan.

Presumably, though, fans have seen the last of Jafar. However, that wouldn’t be the last time they saw Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, and the Genie.

Well, better late than never. With just over two months to go before the May 24 release date, we finally have a trailer for Walt Disney's Aladdin that shows off Walt Disney's Aladdin.

In Aladdin, Iago is Jafar's sardonic, hot-tempered righthand parrot. You see the parallels we're drawing. Though the rest of the story has nothing to do with Shakespeare, it's a point worth making.
