Police say a suspect is in custody after allegedly targeting Memphis Mayor Paul Young in a plot involving stalking and attempted kidnapping. The incident marks the latest in a string of threats against elected officials.

Trenton Abston, 25, has been charged with attempted kidnapping and stalking, according to police, who said he had a Taser, gloves, rope and duct tape in his vehicle at the time of his arrest.
