The desk is made from three big pieces—the METOD (formerly FAKTUM) cabinet with shelves, another METOD cabinet with drawers, and a HAMMARP (formerly LAGAN) solid wood worktop.

IKEA showed off prototypes for new products from electronic lighting controls to space-saving furniture, as the retailer looks to cater to a world that is fast becoming more cramped and connected.
