Great Smoky Mountains National Park will begin a $1.15 million pavement preservation project starting March 2 in the Deep Creek area near Bryson City, with intermittent road closures.

Picnic Areas: Cades Cove, Deep Creek, Greenbrier, and Metcalf Bottoms picnic areas are open year round. Chimneys picnic area will open on March 12 and Collins Creek picnic area will open on April 1.
