Arlington County adopted its long-awaited Climate Resolution on Saturday. It was a big deal, based on the smiles around the crowded county board hearing room.

Greene County has shuttered the Ruckersville Volunteer Fire Company, saying only that an outside agency has been brought on to look into claims against it.

Fairfax County Executive Bryan Hill presented his proposed FY 2026 Advertised Budget Plan on Tuesday. Hill suggested a 1.5-cent real estate tax rate increase to $1.14 per $100 assessed value.
