Berwyn Station in Denbighshire is the most beautiful railway station in the UK, according to Yahoo. Despite being top of the list, you likely haven’t heard of - let alone visited - this lovely stop.

A retired wallpaper designer transformed an 1895 Great Western Railway carriage into a luxury Airbnb at a former station after major restoration. "It's quite unique," said the designer.

Dating back to 1826, Heighington Station, in County Durham, was part of the Stockton and Darlington railway line, which was the first passenger railway to use steam trains in the world.
