UPDATED: July 16, 2025 at 1:06 PM PDT ANTIOCH — A 10-acre fire that broke out in Antioch on Tuesday afternoon prompted a public health advisory for smoke, authorities said.

The vegetation fire started before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Oakley Road and Willow Avenue, according to a social media post from Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

The three-alarm fire burned near Oakley Road and Willow Avenue by the BART yard. One person was injured but declined medical assistance, according to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

Contra Costa County firefighters are battling a three-alarm vegetation fire that sparked near a residential neighborhood in Antioch on Tuesday afternoon.
