Richmond City Council members took a recess and exited chambers Monday night as pro-Palestine protesters began chanting for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war.

Following a spirited discussion, Reading City Council said it will soon vote on a proposed ordinance to decriminalize possession of a small amount of marijuana.
