The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) continued its search operations in Taal Lake on Friday despite rainy weather in Batangas.

A 48-year-old Oakland man is in custody in connection with the shooting death of a parole officer in East Oakland on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
