Elias Meyer, a competitive powerlifter, took the title on April 2, 2024, after he spent 2 hours, 7 seconds buried under a pile of snow over 3 ft. tall, according to Guinness World Records.

He's used a blowtorch. Bobbie Bennett says he used the torch to melt away the snow and ice to create a path for his dogs. He said a 30 minute shoveling job takes only five minutes with the blowtorch.
