Denver NWSL team would be 2nd team with own stadium, but with far more public investment
DENVER — Denver's new women's soccer team, Denver Summit FC, will become only the second National Women's Soccer League club with a dedicated stadium. But a new stadium at Santa Fe Yards would come with significantly more public funding than the league's first purpose-built facility, in Kansas City.
The move will require another Colorado sports team to change its name, however.
