PARMA, Ohio -- A fine feathered friend was unveiled last month at the popular Parma script sign. The 7-foot-tall, 150-pound pink flamingo is yet another Anthony Zielinski Park tourist attraction.

If you’re heading to Put-in-Bay this summer, there is a new “photo op” on the island. Visitors can now find a new script sign at South Bass Island State Park.

The sign, modeled after the popular Cleveland script signs located throughout that city, is 18.5 feet long. The letters are four feet high and it is 2,000 pounds of sheet steel.

The Put-in-Bay tourism bureau hopes the lakeside sign will attract visitors looking for a photo opportunity, similar to the script signs found across Cleveland.

The western 'burb of Bay Village last week joined Cleveland, Eastlake, Lorain and Parma in becoming a real city when it unveiled its script city sign on Oct. 27.
