OSAKA, Japan - The number of Chinese tourists visiting Japan has surged recently as the cherry blossoms enter their peak period of bloom, reports the Yangtze Evening News.
HONG KONG — A Chinese university has created a special filter to mimic the effects of falling cherry blossoms to stop tourists damaging the trees for the sake of a selfie.
Pictures taken on March 18 at Wuhan University shows the cherry blossom season in full bloom. Tourists are flocking to the area to see the flowers for themselves.
Each spring, Macon, Georgia, lives up to its unofficial title of “Cherry Blossom Capital of the World”, with over 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees transforming the city into a pink paradise.
Statistics showed that Chinese tourists spend about an average of 12,000 yuan ($1,933) on tours, and 7,000 yuan ($1,130) on shopping.
