The Cherokee Nation has expressed that UKB tribal police can only patrol on the 76 acres of Trust Land owned by the UKB. However, The United Keetoowah Band says that is not true.

For the first time in more than a decade, the Cherokee Nation released a new demographic map showing where their tribal citizens live and growth among the tribe throughout the United States.

Out of these funds, Cherokee Nation has spent $23.8 million in the past four years to increase water quality access for citizens across the 14-county reservation.
