After three years as principal at Lake Forest’s Cherokee Elementary School, Kate Cavanaugh is moving over to Libertyville’s District 70 to take an administrative position.

Cherokee County School District sent a letter to families of Sixes Elementary students, following the arrest of Sara Gorman. The release stated that Gorman was arrested on burglary and theft charges.

After 30 years in education, Bales retired on Oct. 4 from Cherokee Elementary School. “This is my class, well it’s not my class anymore,” Bales said.
