Newly signed Chelsea striker Liam Delap has been left out of England’s squad for this summer’s Under-21 Euros in a potential boost ahead of the Club World Cup. Delap’s future was the dominant talking point of the early transfer window after it was revealed he would be available for just £30million following Ipswich’s relegation.

Liam Delap has been confirmed as a Chelsea player after the club agreeed to pay £30 million ($40.6 million) for his services. The 22-year-old, schooled by Manchester City, was a bright spark for relegated Ipswich Town in 2024–25,
