The Walnut Street Bridge, Chattanooga's main pedestrian path over the river, shuts down on Monday as the city begin 18 months of renovations to enhance its safety and the bridge's historic appeal.

On Monday, the City of Chattanooga launched its 'Walnut Street Bridge' app on Apple's App Store. The city says the app will soon hit the Google Play Store, too.
