Scott and Cheryl Filler have made many discoveries as they delved into restoring the 61-acre former Lourdes Franciscan Friary in Cedar Lake since purchasing the property in January 2024.

Of the five lakes, Lake Michigan is in the middle for area, at about 22,400 square feet. Lake Huron is a little bigger at 23,000 square feet, and Lake Superior is the biggest at 31,700 square feet.
