Portions of Catoctin Mountain Park will close starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 18. According to a community announcement, closures will last until approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.

The 5,000-acre Catoctin Mountain Park is also nearby and has hiking trails, camping and rustic cabins. The Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo in Thurmont has more than 300 species on 50 acres.
