Residents have killed plants installed in Canterbury as part of a £1 million high street refurbishment by urinating on them.

Plants in the heart of Canterbury city centre are to be removed after being repeatedly covered in litter, cigarette butts, alcohol and even urine since they were installed just two years ago.
