Meteorologists issued urgent warnings for parts of Southern California amid heavy rainfall that flooded the region.

A separate red flag warning is also slated to go into effect from 11 a.m. Monday to 8 p.m. Tuesday from elevations of 1,000 to 3,000 feet in the Northern Sierra foothills.

The NWS warns against unnecessary travel for this area. In the West Glacier Region, the winter storm warning applies from 2 a.m. MDT on Saturday to noon on Sunday.
