Wings of Wonder - Dragonflies! Turtle Tots, a nature-based program for preschool youth ages 3-5 attending with their caregiver, will kick off the fall programing from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22.

Wide-eyed, Jenny and 21 other preschoolers watched as a box full of young Monarch butterflies flitted one by one into the air in front of Fremd High School in Palatine.

The non-profit hosted an arts and crafts event at Centennial Library where kids were taught how to make butterflies out of recycled materials, like popsicles, beads and woven yarn.
