A man carjacked an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department bucket truck early Wednesday morning while a sheriff’s deputy was precariously positioned high above the ground in the bucket, authorities said.

The incident was caught on video. The video shows the worker in a lifted bucket on a truck. The top of the tractor-trailer hit the bottom of the bucket and flipped the worker upside down.
Shocking dash camera video captured the moment a semi ran into the man who was up in a bucket truck repairing a traffic light. The impact sent the bucket with the man inside flipping upside down.
The Denham Springs Police Department (DSPD) responded to the incident a little before 1:10 p.m. and confirmed that the 18-wheeler was trying to make a left turn when it collided with the bucket.
