The Blood Connection, a nonprofit blood provider for Carillion Clinic, will be hosting the blood drive from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. "During World War II, blood donations were vitally important.

This year its goal is to break 3,500 pints. A big pull for the blood drive, beyond the opportunity to give back and help others, is the limited-edition shirts the blood bank gives away.
