The black drum are pretty thick and heavy in Barnegat Bay. Ray Kerico at Grumpy's Tackle said the fish are on the Barnegat Bay side of Seaside Parks.

New Jersey allows drum fishing year-round, although the main fishery in the bay is during the spring. Fishermen are allowed to land three black drum per day, and each must be at least 16 inches.

At Lady Bird Lake, the daily bag limit for all black bass species is five in any combination with a minimum length limit of 14 inches, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
