Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The new Bhopal Master Plan will be inadequate for meeting the needs of 2047 if prepared by assimilating the data of previous master plan.

The master plan of Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, has been postponed. A new draft plan for 2047 will now be created to meet the development needs of the city.

In the draft plan, the Bhopal planning area has been revised to 1016.90 Sq. Km from 813 sqkm proposed in 2005. The planning area for BD is extended to 1016.90 Sq Km with 248 villages.
