Parkville, MD- State Police say a motorcyclist is dead after a 2-vehicle collision tonight on I-695 in Baltimore County.

The section of I-695 between I-70 and I-83 is expected to be completed by late summer 2027. The remaining 19 miles of the Beltway are slated for completion in 2028.

The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) says that it will take a few more years to ease the heavy traffic along the Baltimore Beltway.

"It just never seems to end." I-695 is one of the most traveled roads in the state. It's also one of the most congested highways. "They just keep extending it," said Zach Langhauser, a beltway driver.
