The new Barney’s World is set in a playground, where Barney is joined by his old dino friends Baby Bop and Billy (formerly BJ) along with their three kid best friends David, Mel, and Vivie.

Barney, Baby Bop, BJ and Riff starred along with a cast of children. The show ended in 2010. Mattel said it will relaunch Barney globally in 2024.

Barney debuted in 1988 in the series “Barney & Friends” which aired for 14 seasons across multiple networks globally, including on PBS in the U.S. The series concluded Nov. 2, 2010.
