The Deep End marks Hoffs’ fifth solo album, and her second collection of covers. Her last release was 2021’s Bright Lights , which featured songs by Nick Drake, Lou Reed, and, of course, Prince.
And today she’s announcing a covers album called The Deep End, which will include covers of Billie Eilish, Phantom Planet, Squeeze, Ed Sheeran, Joy Oladokun, and more.
The album follows Hoffs’ 2023 debut novel This Bird Has Flown (Little, Brown), and her album of covers, The Deep End, which also features her rendition of the Stones’ 1966 song “Under My ...
Everything, released in 1988, would prove to be the final Bangles’ album released at their commercial peak, and was the product of each Bangle working with their own producers on their own songs.
