Asus is beginning to reveal its ROG Ally successor, the ROG Ally X. Don’t call it an Ally 2: it’ll have the same chip and screen when it ships in the second half of 2024.

The ASUS Rog Ally is great for gamers looking to take their games on the go—specifically, those who want the full Windows 11 experience as well as support for both Steam and Xbox marketplaces.

ASUS ROG Ally X offers twice the SSD capacity and double the battery capacity. I spent time playing games, running tests, and checking battery life to see how good it is.

In the PCMark 10 gaming battery life benchmark, the ROG Ally lasted for 1 hour and 43 minutes. I’m pleased to say the ROG Ally X does indeed last twice as long, clocking in at 3 hours and 4 minutes.
