One of my UPSes is an APC SmartUPS SUA-1000. I just replaced the batteries with brand new ones. However, I recently noticed that the first LOAD LED lights up occasionally, while my PC Gear is on.

I'm thinking dead.<BR><BR>I run my APC 1000 Pro on regular outlet. If you were drawing more amps than needed, you would blow a fuse, trip a breaker, catch the house on fire if none of the above.
