Saturday the public is invited to sew 12-by-18 inch cotton kennel quilts using provided materials, patterns and sewing machines at the Redlands Sewing Center — one of 400 Bernina dealers in the U.S.

The Commercial Pattern Archive at the University of Rhode Island houses nearly 60,000 sewing patterns dating back to the 1840s. An online database of patterns is available for the public.
