So, he sent trusted representatives to request missionaries and to witness the Divine Liturgy celebrated in the beautiful Church of Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom) in Constantinople (Istanbul today).

This is by far the largest rite in the Church. It was founded by St. Peter in Rome around 42 A.D. The current Eucharistic liturgy was handed down more or less intact from at least the 4th century.
