Mr. Terry Lynn Sargent, 60, of Onley, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Shore Health & Rehabilitation in Parksley.

The Accomack County Health Department says eight people have tested positive for salmonella and/or Campylobacter, prompting them to classify the incidents as a foodborne outbreak on Wednesday.

The salmonella outbreak started Sunday, with 52 people going to the emergency room at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock with foodborne diarrheal illness.
