A Visitor Levy is to be introduced in Aberdeen to generate revenue for enhancing leisure and business tourism in the city. Investing in improving the visitor experience will support economic growth.

A pedestrian spine is to be built along part of the Beach Boulevard which will be a gateway from the city centre to the beachfront’s new £50million facilities.

The final design of the refurbishment works at The Castlegate is to include significant greening of the area, restoration of the Mercat Cross, and new outdoor seating for cafes.
