EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A 25-year-old woman was fatally shot in the East Village Thursday morning. The victim was shot in the head along East 14th Street near Irving Place just after 5 a.m.

Hours later, around 1:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the head at 728 East 13th Street, the NYPD said. He was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, police said.
