Among those honored are three icons whose influence spans generations: Southern hip-hop pioneers OutKast, groundbreaking rap group Salt-N-Pepa, and early rock trailblazer Chubby Checker.

However, it’s one of the many pure rock and roll moments from The Stooges. The remainder of the album is loud, messy, and unrefined, and that’s exactly as it should be for a rock record.
