Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman reflected on signing of Zack Baun from the Saints, and how the team was able to identify his talents.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Ever since Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman took over the top role in the organization during the 2010 season, the organization has had one central theme on how to build their roster. The trenches.
A big key, Roseman said, will be continuing to rely on younger players. The Eagles were able to supplement their top-heavy roster in 2024 with key players producing on rookie deals. That, he said, will need to continue going forward.
Howie Roseman’s forehead has healed from the beer can that left him bloodied at the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory parade, and the general manager is working on getting the team in position to repeat.
"I bleed for this city!" Roseman told Eagles fans afterward. Now he and his team apparently have a plan to turn that phrase into a clothing line.
The first move came on Monday when ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the team is releasing star DB Darius Slay. Slay is 34 and would like to play one more season before calling it a career. Slay has been with the Eagles since 2020. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2013 as a second-round pick out of Mississippi State.
