U.S. Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock said that pressure from his office led to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention bringing back 180 of the reportedly 1,300 recently fired employees.

Thousands of federal employees returned to the office in Atlanta on Monday after President Donald Trump's return-to-office mandate and a warning from Elon Musk.

The CDC expects roughly 11,000 to show up at its Atlanta offices daily. That will include about 5,800 at the Roybal Campus near Emory.

ATLANTA, GA — New data from the Atlanta based CDC shows this year’s flu vaccine was less effective than most years. The vaccine is usually 40% to 60% effective. However, this year preliminary data shows in adults it was anywhere between 36% to 54% effective. In children, that range was 32%-60%.

Instead of instilling “efficiency” at the CDC, the Trump administration seems only to have only injected blind decision-making and incompetence to the critical agency.
