Apple's iPhone sales in China reportedly took a tumble at the end of 2024, with a considerable reduction in sales putting it in a dead heat with homegrown Xiaomi.
Counterpoint has analyzed the Chinese smartphone market and says its numbers show Apple’s sales slowing during the fourth quarter of 2024. A year-on-year market share comparison shows Apple’s sales fell 18.2% compared to Q4 2023, when it had a 20.2% market share and sat atop the Chinese smartphone market.
Sales of the iPhone in China suffered at the end of 2024, seeing a drop in sales that has put it in a close race for second place with Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi.

GUANGZHOU -- Smartphone makers and sellers are cutting prices on brands from iPhone to Xiaomi as they seek to make the cut for government subsidies designed to prop up demand.
