YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video Hit Record Viewing Levels
After reporting a highly successful end to 2024, Netflix is increasing the cost of its subscriptions. Netflix’s standard plan— the plan without ads— will go from $15.49 to $17.99 per month, the streaming service announced.
Netflix is raising its subscription prices in the US, leading me to think it’s time to cancel my subscription until I actively want to watch something new.

NEW YORK —Heavy viewing during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in the November 25 to December 29 2024 period covered by the December report of Nielsen’s The Gauge, helped increase overall TV viewing by 4% compared to the November report. That also boosted YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video to record viewing levels.
