Tesla Inc.’s China-made wholesale deliveries fell to the lowest in more than 2 1/2-years last month, adding to a troubling slide in global sales at a time Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk is increasingly distracted by politics.

Tesla sold 30,688 China-made vehicles in February, a 49% plunge from a year ago. The data came shortly after figures showed a plunge in European sales.

Tesla is also facing challenges in China. Preliminary data from China’s Passenger Car Association reveals that in February, Tesla manufactured and sold 30,688 vehicles last month. This figure includes examples sold in China and exported to overseas markets, and it’s also a huge 49.16% decline from the 60,365 built and sold cars in February 2024.
