The New York Giants have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Gunner Olszewski after a workout, the team announced. Olszewski, 28, spent the last two seasons with the Giants as a returner, but became a free agent following the 2024 season. Now, the Giants bring him back to compete for the same roster role on this year’s team.

That set the Giants on a search for his replacement, which would eventually lead to the signing of Gunner Olszewski, whom they re-signed on Monday. But he wasn't the only consideration. The Giants worked out a total of five players before re-signing Olszewski.

Per Jordan Raanan of ESPN, New York is signing receiver/returner Gunner Olszewski. Olszewski, 28, has spent time with the Giants in each of the last two seasons, though he did not appear in a game last year.
