Wildfires burning in Canada's oil-producing province of Alberta have reduced the country's daily crude production by about 7%. Here is a tally of affected oil production sites so far:

Wildfires in Canada’s energy heartland of Alberta have shut down almost 350,000 barrels of daily heavy crude production — about 7% of the country’s output — as a major blaze near the province’s eastern border menaces oil sands operations.

The Caribou Lake fire in northeastern Alberta has temporarily shut down some oilsands operations. Companies say the fire, which covers roughly 61,500 hectares, has cut seven per cent of Canada’s total oil production at a time when crude oil supplies are already strained.
